Inform your obstetrician and the hospital that you would like one of our physicians to be your baby’s pediatrician. Our providers see patients at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Edgewood Campus.
When your baby is born, we’ll be contacted and one of our physicians will come to the hospital to thoroughly examine your baby and discuss any questions you have. If you wish to have your son circumcised, Dr. Tara Monday will perform this procedure in the hospital for you.
If you deliver your baby at a hospital other than those listed above, a hospital staff pediatrician will examine your baby in the hospital. When you call for your baby’s first office visit, inform the scheduler where your child was delivered so we may schedule plenty of time to thoroughly examine your baby and answer any questions you might have.
If your child needs to be admitted to a hospital other than St. Elizabeth’s our doctors will not be able to care for your child. If your child is admitted to a hospital where we do not have privileges, it is advised to sign a record of release (from the hospital) so that our office can obtain the records of your child’s stay. These records will go in your child’s permanent medical records and be available to our physicians for follow-up care.
If your child is admitted to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the physicians there will coordinate care with our office.
